Support remains your army
Troops you send to reinforce a clanmate remain attributed to you. Their location changes, but they are not a gift that silently becomes the other ruler’s army. Kingdom Activity separates marches from stationed reinforcements so you can follow that distinction.
Before changing an assignment, inspect the supported holding, its owner and any current incoming threats. Removing support from a quiet rear city and removing it seconds before a siege have very different consequences. Tell the clan which garrison you are withdrawing so another contributor can judge the gap.
A reserved slot can already be occupied
Ordinary cities reserve a maximum of five contributor slots. A ruler can maintain two assignments with each clanmate, with one assignment per supported holding. Strongholds and reward camps follow their own uncapped contributor policy, so do not carry the five-slot assumption across every objective.
Incoming troops can reserve an assignment before they arrive. If a new contribution is rejected, check existing and travelling support before concluding that the city is empty. Repeating a send request does not free an occupied slot.
An illustrative rotation replaces one contributor with another. First agree on the order, inspect the existing assignment and let the game confirm its change. Then have the replacement verify eligibility and travel. Avoid assuming both changes happen instantly.
Follow the recorded source and fallback
When troops return, their recorded source is used if you still own it. If ownership has changed, the server redirects them to your current Main City. This fallback is especially relevant after a lost city or a change of Main City during a long operation.
Check both the return march and the eventual destination. A falling troop total at the supported city does not mean those soldiers are already available at home. Until the return completes, they remain committed to travel and cannot defend the destination as stationed troops.
Use the action offered for that order
An eligible recall is governed by the order type and the current item rules. A Recall Horn is not a universal cancellation button for everything in Kingdom Activity. Inspect the selected order’s available action and confirmation rather than assuming an attack, scout and reinforcement all behave alike.
Closing the tab, refreshing or switching devices does not recall an accepted march. After reconnecting, let the list update before attempting another action. If a request was interrupted, verify its result first: the server may already have processed it.
Check Tower troops when clan membership changes
Clan Towers keep contributor ownership as well. Leaving or being removed from a clan can trigger the return of that ruler’s Tower troops to the ruler’s Main City under the Tower rules. Account for those forces when reorganizing a roster or preparing a defense.
Finish by checking Kingdom Activity and the destination city. Your useful end state is specific: the former assignment is gone, the return has completed, and the troops are stationed where the confirmed order says they should be. A refreshed kingdom total alone does not establish all three.
