Purpose of this policy
This policy explains the information used to operate, secure, improve, and fund the Crownlands browser game and its public information pages.
Information Crownlands uses
When you sign in, Crownlands receives account identifiers and basic profile information supplied by your authentication provider, such as your user ID, display name, email address, and profile image. Crownlands also stores gameplay information including your cities, troops, gold, progression, purchases made with in-game currency, clans, reports, settings, and server activity.
Clan rally records include private target details, participant identifiers, selected source cities, committed troop amounts, assembly timing, and settlement outcomes. Current clan members can read forming rally details; public map projections hide the objective until the rally launches. The Clan War Room displays this rally state and does not provide a separate operation-planning record system.
Crownlands stores a persistent random game-installation identifier in each browser profile. The server stores only a one-way hash of that identifier and retains recent account-to-installation associations for 30 days to prevent linked-account combat abuse. Shared IP addresses and shared networks are not used for automatic combat blocks.
The game uses browser storage and service-worker caches to remember sessions, support installation, improve loading, and safely retry eligible actions. Security records may include session identifiers, request timestamps, App Check results, and limited technical diagnostics.
Advertising and privacy choices
The public website includes Google AdSense publisher identification, an ads.txt record, and the Google AdSense script on eligible content pages. The script connects your browser to Google, which receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. Display-ad requests are currently paused while publisher review and consent setup are completed. No display-ad slots are active on this website.
Crownlands may offer optional rewarded advertisements through Google Ad Manager. Google Publisher Tag is requested only after an eligible signed-in player deliberately starts that flow. Google may then process device, browser, network, consent, and advertising identifiers to select, deliver, prevent fraud, and measure the advertisement. Crownlands records the chosen in-game reward, whether a reward grant was requested, cooldown usage, and the resulting account transaction.
Declining, closing, or blocking a rewarded advertisement does not prevent normal gameplay. An unfinished or unavailable advertisement grants nothing. In-game gold and troops have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for real-world payment.
If contextual advertising is enabled on eligible public content pages, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized advertising. Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Before relevant advertising is enabled, Crownlands will offer the required consent controls, including a Google-certified consent management platform where required for personalized ads. Declining consent must not prevent you from reading the guides or entering the game. You can also read how Google uses information from partner sites.
Optional website and game analytics
If you choose Allow analytics, Crownlands loads Google Analytics to measure homepage visits, Play clicks, successful kingdom entry, and the first confirmed city upgrade or army order during that game visit. Collection is off until you opt in, and events before consent are not replayed. Declining does not affect play.
Analytics uses a browser cookie identifier and technical information such as device type and network information processed by Google. The events do not include your account ID, ruler name, email, chat, city identifiers, resource values, or support messages. Page addresses are sent without query strings or fragments. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this integration.
The analytics preference is stored for up to 180 days and applies to playcrownlands.com and game.playcrownlands.com. Analytics cookies are also configured to expire after 180 days. Use Analytics choices in the website footer or the game’s Settings to change your choice. Turning analytics off stops this integration’s event collection and removes its accessible Analytics cookies; data already received by Google is not deleted by that switch. Server-side retention is governed by the Analytics property settings.
This optional analytics control is separate from Google’s advertising consent message. It does not grant advertising consent. Read Google’s information about partner sites.
Private support messages
The private support form sends your selected topic, message, and optional reply email to Netlify Forms for review by the Crownlands team. Hosting and spam protection may also process technical request details, including IP address. The message is not published on the website or issue tracker, and analytics is not loaded on Contact or Support.
We use this information to investigate your request, respond when contact details are provided, and handle abuse or security concerns. Keep the message limited to information needed for your request. Support records are kept while needed to resolve the issue and related operational or legal obligations. Use the same private form for a privacy or deletion request; account verification may be needed before acting on it.
Service providers
Crownlands uses Google Firebase for authentication, databases, server functions, notifications, and abuse protection; Google AdSense for publisher verification and potential eligible public-page advertising; Google Ad Manager for optional rewarded advertising; Google Analytics for optional usage measurement; and Netlify for web hosting and private support forms. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Choices and retention
When a consent message is active, use its settings to change or withdraw your advertising choices. Display ads on this website are currently paused; no website advertising choice has been stored by a custom banner. You can avoid rewarded advertising by not pressing Watch Ad. Browser data can be cleared through your browser or operating-system settings, although server-side account and gameplay records remain necessary to preserve the shared game world and prevent fraud.
Gameplay and security records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate the game, maintain account history, resolve disputes, enforce limits, and comply with applicable obligations. Short-lived rewarded-ad intent records are scheduled for deletion after their audit period.
Children
Crownlands is a general-audience game and is not directed to children. Do not use the service if you are below the age required to consent to online services in your location without authorization from a parent or guardian.
Policy updates and contact
This policy may be updated when the game or its service providers change. Material updates will be reflected by the date above. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the Crownlands Contact page. Do not publish passwords, authentication codes, account tokens, or other sensitive credentials in a public report.
